How To Receive a Compliment with Class.

1. Thank him/her for the compliment even if you don’t agree completely.

When they say “You are so pretty!”  Never respond "No. No I’m not. I’m really not."

2. Do not feel obligated to return a compliment.

3. Choose a humble response over a prideful response. Never respond “I know, right?”

4. Try not to argue with the compliment-giver.

5. The only exception to the rule

Arguing with a compliment giver is a characteristic of a low self-esteem.

 The more you fight them, the lesser they will compliment you altogether. So if your goal is to get people to leave you and your low self-worth alone, by all means keep getting defensive! 

If, however, you would like to receive a compliment every now and again, be kind and accept it without too much resistance
