"The Fear Of The Lord Is The Beginning Of Knowledge".

"The Fear Of The Lord Is The Beginning Of Knowledge".
I'm sure you've heard this several times. But have you taken time to find out what type of knowledge the Scripture is referring to?
Getting knowledge as we know is getting facts or truths about a particular topic or area of interest, either affecting the society or affecting us directly.
Therefore, getting to know God will mean sitting down with His Word to really find out Who He is, and what He wants or expects from us, since He created us.
As parents,  we have expectations from our children,  and if we see them deviating or derailing,  we naturally feel disappointed and unhappy.  Then what about the One who created us? It takes that consciousness of not wanting to disappoint us as parents for our children to try to please us.
We raised them with fear and respect, that's why your son or daughter won't walk up to you and slap you and tell you you're talking rubbish.
They know you because they've been able to study you in the course of growing up with you. And your guidance and counsel have been able to shape their lives. But this is usually not so for children not raised with fear, respect,  and discipline, or the ones who refused knowledge when they were being taught.
Today,  God wants us to seek His knowledge so we can walk in His counsel and not end in destruction.
